Sister Mary Regina, O. P.

Sr. Mary Regina, O.P., is the principal of St. Michael’s School. She is grateful to serve in response to the Most Reverend Frederick F. Campbell’s 2011 invitation to the Dominican Sisters of Mary to come to the Diocese of Columbus to teach and administer St. Michael School. Since then, several Sisters have joined the staff annually, educating and forming the young people in the Faith. The Sisters are continuing the tradition of Dominicans educating and witnessing to the vocation of religious life in Ohio, which dates back to the 19th century. They encourage all to respond to the universal vocation to holiness through a life of virtue, especially through the Disciple of Christ-Education in Virtue® faith curriculum taught at St. Michael School.

Sr. Mary Regina joined the St. Michael Family as an administrative assistant for the 2022-2023 school year, She is very excited to serve the St. Michael community as principal. She holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Eastern Michigan University, a master’s degree in educational administration, and a licentiate degree in philosophy from Catholic University of America. I hold a PK-12 professional principal license in the State of Ohio. Sr. Mary Regina has over 8 years of teaching experience in elementary education.

Sr. Mary Regina grew up in Austin, Texas, in a family of seven, and entered the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist in 2005. She is so grateful to the Lord for calling her to this religious community and its apostolate of education. It has been a great joy for her over the years to assist parents in the formation of their children in academic and moral excellence, and to work with the dedicated faculties and staff of Catholic schools.
